I began my journey as a support worker at just 16 years old, driven by a passion to make a real difference in people’s lives. From the very start, I worked closely with individuals presenting behaviours of concern and complex health needs, developing resilience, compassion, and clinical competence along the way. Alongside my profession I am a mum of 2.
My experience has included supporting individuals requiring oxygen therapy, PEG feeding, and providing dignified end-of-life care. I have also been part of a successful resuscitation, an experience that reinforced the importance of skill, composure, and teamwork in critical moments.
Through hands-on experience and continuous professional development, I gained the knowledge and confidence to truly thrive in the sector. I achieved my NVQ Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications, strengthening both my practical expertise and leadership capability. My dedication and commitment to high standards of care enabled me to progress from Support Worker to Senior, then Team Leader, Manager, and now Operations Manager.
My career reflects not only professional growth, but a deep-rooted commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and person-centred care while empowering teams to achieve excellence.
