I have worked within the care sector for over 35 years, beginning my career in 1985. During this time, I have gained extensive experience across a variety of settings, including NHS hospitals, Social Services Home Care, Dorothy Goodman School, and nearly two decades at Jubilee Villa. My time at Jubilee Villa was particularly significant, where I spent six years as Registered Manager, leading services and teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to continuous professional development and have achieved NVQ Levels 2, 3, and 4 in Health and Social Care, alongside Leadership and Management qualifications. These have strengthened my knowledge of governance, compliance, safeguarding, workforce development, and effective service leadership.
My experience across both frontline care and senior management has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the sector — from the practical realities of direct support to the strategic oversight required to maintain high standards and regulatory compliance.
I now serve as Senior Manager in Human Resources at Heroic Care Ltd, where I draw upon my decades of experience to support staff development, promote best practice, and ensure our workforce feels valued, supported, and equipped to deliver outstanding care. I am passionate about nurturing strong, compassionate teams and upholding the values that have guided my career since 1985.
